SENOPHYLLINE™ is a convenience pack that includes SentraAM™
and theophylline. In this dual management system, theophylline is
administered as 25 mg daily while Sentra AM™ is administered
once daily. Theophylline, used alone, treats cognitive function and
fatigue and is often used at a dose of 100 mg per day. Sentra AM™
is used to manage the nutritional deficiencies associated with

Theophylline: Why is this medication prescribed? Theophylline has been traditionally used to prevent and treat wheezing, shortness of breath, and difficulty breathing caused by asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, and other lung diseases. Theophylline is also used to treat muscle weakness and chronic fatigue syndromes. This prescription drug acts to stimulate brain neurons to enhance cognition, mental alertness and attention. Theophylline can improve cognition, memory and alertness. Sentra AM™: Why is this medication prescribed?Sentra AM™ is a Medical Food product designed to increase and maintain the production of acetylcholine by peripheral neurons and brain cells. Chronic fatigue syndromes and dementias have been associated with relative choline deficiency and abnormal acetylcholine metabolism. Cognitive function and memory depend on acetylcholine production in the hippocampus. Arousal and alertness depend on acetylcholine function in the prefrontal cortex. A deficiency of acetylcholine can also lead to muscle fatigue. It is well recognized that deficiencies of acetylcholine are part of a number of disease states including Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia, chronic fatigue, memory disorders, neurotoxicity syndromes related to pesticides, heavy metals and other environmental toxins.
